Description
- Work in close collaboration with our paralegals and lawyers to effectuate the preparation of letters and legal documents in the realm of commercial law
- Review documents and correspondence according to our established practices with a focus on the specific use of grammar
- Undertake the opening, organization and follow-up of client files, as well as the electronic and physical filing of related documents
- To oversee the follow-up of client files and correspondence therewith
- Produce annual returns for the Registraire des Entreprises and annual reports for Industry Canada
- Follow and update ledgers
- Establish and maintain filing systems
- Prepare virtual binders according to the transactional closing schedules
- Maintain and follow-up the schedules of our lawyers
- Cultivate positive relationships with our internal and external partners and, when needed, provide general advice
- Perform all other clerical task
Required qualities
- Hold a Diplôme d’Études Professional (DEP) in administration or a Diplôme d’Études Collegial (DEC) in office automation with a focus on law
- Mastery of Microsoft Office suite
- Written and oral mastery of French and English
- Proficient communication skills
- Demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills (with a focus on both internal and external clientele)
- Be detail-oriented and thorough
- The ability to work under pressure
- The capacity to thrive in a team environment
- Display a strong sense of professionalism and ethics
